EL ENCUENTRO

Mi Verano Pasado

Mi verano pasado fue muy divertido. Yo fui de vacaciones a San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Miami, Florida y Ocean City, Nueva Jersey. En Honduras, yo fui a Nuestras Pequeñas Rosas con mis padres, mi hermana y otras personas de mi iglesia. Nuestras Pequeñas Rosas es un casa para setenta y cinco chicas. Nosotros fuimos nadando en el océano y la piscine. Yo fui a Miami, Florida con mis padres y mi hermana. En Miami, fuimos a la playa y la piscine. Tuvimos una vacacion del relajante. Yo también fui a Ocean City, Nueva Jersey por un fin de semana con mi hermana. Yo dormí en la casa de mi amiga. Fuimos el surf y se relajamos en la playa. El verano pasado yo trabajé también. Yo trabajé en Flourtown Summer Day Camp como un consejera. El martes por la noche y las noches del miércoles, yo jugué lacrosse para el equipo Ultimate. En los fines de semana, nostoros a veces tuvimos torneos. Lacrosse fue muy divertido porque jugué con mis amigas. Yo también jugué hockey de campo el miércoles por la noche para equipo de escuela. Hockey de campo fue así así. Yo sólo leí mis libros de lectura de verano porque no me gusta leyendo. Yo no fui al cine porque no me gusta las películas. El verano pasado fue mi verano favorito.

Early Saturday morning, February 27, 2010 Chile was struck by a devastating earthquake measuring 8.8 on the Richter scale. A series of sixty aftershocks struck, the highest having a magnitude of 6.1 and Hawaii was given a tsunami warning. This earthquake, as of Sunday, has left more than two million displaced and a death toll of four hundred. Chileans are being pulled out of rubble and debris, dead and alive. Damage is similar to that of what we saw in Hati back in January. Although, Chile is lucky because they are wealthier then Hati and some building had been built to withstand earthquakes. Chile has not called for aid from the United States of America, but the United States has offered and that offer remains.
